Initially 20 hours per week, on a split shift

 (Hours maybe subject to change dependent on school’s needs)

Mornings:      7.00am-9.30am

Afternoons:  2.45pm-4:15pm

The children, staff and Governors of Bradshaw Community Primary School, Bradshaw Lane, Grappenhall are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Officer to join our friendly team working in a busy school environment.

Applicants need to have well developed inter-personal skills and be capable of responding flexibly to day-to-day pressures, demonstrating personal initiative, motivation and commitment.  We are looking for a hard-working, cheerful person who will be proud to maintain our school and grounds to a very high standard of cleanliness and safety.  The ability to complete routine maintenance and the flexibility to deliver these hours over a split shift is essential.  The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate a professional attitude and be capable of working accurately, showing attention to detail.  Other essential skills include being empathetic, able to work as part of a team and having a sense of humour.

The job is based in a Primary School with approximately 200 pupils on roll.  The role is integral to the safe and efficient running of the school and its surrounding facilities.  It is a part time position (initially 20 hours per week) with 25 days holiday per year, requiring the post holder to work their hours both during term time and in school holidays.  All holidays are to be taken during school closure periods.  This provides continuity and stability in running all functions of the school.  The average working day will be on a split shift.
