Last week, we looked at stopping germs spreading by covering our mouths when we sneezed. Today we looked at the importance of washing our hands. We had a child ‘sneeze’ (put glitter and hair gel) on an object and then we passed it round between four children. Those four children then played playground games such as patter cake.
After they finished playing patter cake we looked at their hands to see if the germs (glitter) had spread. We then watched a NHS video on how to wash our hands and we followed the instructions,
We found out that we needed to wash our hands thoroughly to stop germs spreading around the classroom.
