On Thursday 22nd November, Year One went on a fun day out. We set out on the coach and our first stop was Warrington Museum. We have been looking at the topic of ‘Toys’ in class and so we visited the Museum to learn about Toys from the Past. Amanda our teacher taught us lots about Toys from long ago. We got to meet a teddy bear and a doll which were over 100 years old.

IN the afternoon, we all walked down to the Build a Bear Factory and had the whole shop to ourselves. We got to make lots of noise and choose one of the bears for our class mascot. We chose a monkey and we voted for our favourite outfit. The hardest part was choosing a name. We all agreed on Max the Monkey. Max the Monkey will go home with a friend every Friday.

The children all went to visit Miss Whittaker today in their new classroom. They were all so excited when they returned telling us all about the new and exciting things ahead. The main excitement was about the new addition to Year 2, Harley the guinea pig. It was lovely to see the children all buzzing with excitement!
