Information about first admission to reception class in September 2020.
The online form should be completed by Warrington residents only. If you live outside of the Warrington area (i.e. pay council tax to another Local Authority) you are able to state a preference for a Warrington school, but must apply using your home Local Authority online application form.
If your child was born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016 they are due to start reception class in September 2020.
If your child currently attends a nursery setting you should receive information a letter which includes information about the registration and application processes. If your child does not attend a nursery setting, we are unable to send you any correspondence but you are advised to read the information before applying.
All applicants are advised to read the information booklet ‘Primary Education – First Admission to Reception Class – Information for Parents 2020 – 21’before completing the application form.

Please be aware that if any of your preferences are for a Faith school, then you must complete the individuals schools own supplementary form as well as the online application form. These supplementary forms are used by the schools, to provide them with relevant information to help them decide the correct oversubscription criteria that your child falls under. Supplementary forms are also available from the individual schools. Completed forms should be returned directly to the school.
If you wish your child’s application to be considered under the Child in Care criterion or in accordance with the medical/social criterion, then verifying information in support of your application must be provided at the time you apply. The information should be scanned and emailed to the School Admissions Team at email@example.com or you can send it by post.
If your child was formerly in care, a copy of the Adoption Certificate, Child Arrangement Order or Special Guardianship Order must be provided in order to be considered against this criterion.
If you would like your application to be considered against a medical/social criterion, you should provide supporting evidence from a registered professional, such as a Medical Practitioner, Psychologist or Social Worker, which sets out the particular reasons why the school in question is the most suitable school for your child.
You will find it useful to have your letter and leaflet to hand when starting your online application form. You will also require your Council Tax reference number.

Offers are communicated to all on time applicants via email, unless you have expressed a preference to be informed via post instead. If you do opt to be informed by post, letters will be sent out by second class post on 16 April 2020, so parents/carers should allow time for postage.
If you have opted to receive the offer information via email the information will be sent to the email address (which you provided on the online application form) from 10:00 am on 16 April 2020.
